Sterilization

ESP: Lint from SPD in My Patient

Lint. So little I can hardly see it. Even if it did get in the patient, it’s soft, it’s sterile, and it will probably dissolve in a few days; right? No way! Most fibers will never dissolve. White blood cells consume the particle forming a white barnacle-like granuloma. Adhesions like spider webs try to tie-down the lint. Unfortunately, adhesions contract causing pain and even strangling vital organ functions.
